All galleries: New WorkElements Vision and Landscapes Mariners Tales Briar Red Riding Hood Portrait and Figurative
Its hard to say where this work developed from apart from the local influences of the Southern Lake District and a continuation of the Mariners Tales theme (see earlier work)
What I do know is that the colour use of John Ruskin and J.M.W. Turner’s paintings/drawings are strong influences as probably is their subject matter.
A visit to the Glasgow Boys exhibition in April also introduced my palette to the use of a new weird colour for me – lilac !!!!
